[bcab] Re: Trying to buy 9MM clear Dymo tape

Hi Clive

Yes, that's right. The RNIB are no longer selling the 9MM Dymo tape. A
pity!

Hi Kevin,

I'm afraid I do this the old-fashioned way - with a one-line pocket frame!
I get a 12 MM rolle and braille the label, then shave off the blank tape
above and below the writing. The advantage of this for me is that I can
then write labels for the CD spines in full grade 2 braille. RNIB did
once accidentally send some 9MM dymo tape to me, which I found
particularly difficult to align using this method...so if you're really
stuck, I could off-load a few rolls onto you. BTW, are you saying that
RNIB no longer stock this product?

Best,
Clive

Hi Kevin. I've never had a problem sourcing 9mm tape from Rymans or W H
Smith and I've certainly bought some within the lastt year.

Subject: [bcab] Trying to buy 9MM clear Dymo tape

Hi

I wonder if anybody can help. I'm trying to buy the thick, clear 9MM
Dymo tape for the braille Dymo Gun. Various companies and the RNIB used
to sell this tape. I particularly want to buy the narrower tape as it is
excellent for labelling CDs on the spine of the CD case.

Does anybody know if the narrower tape is available anywhere. I did find
some in a local stationers', but it was much thinner than the tape I used
to buy, so I wasn't sure Int would be durable enough for braille.

Many thanks for any help.

Cheers

Kevin
