[bcab] Trying to burn CDs using Windows Media Player

Hello,

I apologise for sending this note a second time.
However, the first time I failed to provide a subject line.

I have been contacted by a friend who is having difficulties when it comes to trying to burn
a CD using Windows Media Player.
As far as I understand it he has done the following:
1. rip a CD to the Windows Media player library,
2. select some of the tracks
3. add the selected tracks to the burn list.

when he clicks the startburn button, he is invited to insert a blank cd into the drive.
Almost immediately the CD is ejected.

I am not really familiar with Windows media player but when I tried to replicate the above
steps fortunately for me, I found,
that I successfully managed to burn a number of tracks to a CD.

I discovered that I am using the same level of
Windows Media Player
namely:
Version
11.0.5721.5230
Product Id
5274-OEM--0011903-00107

If anyone has any insights/ideas/suggestions regarding this situation I look forward to
learning from them and improving my very limited knowledge in this area.

Many thanks,

Mike.
