There appears to be a patch for Jaws 8Hi George.  It does indeed but it's just 
buried at the bottom of the page.in the history of changes. I just need a bit 
more patience I enink.

  Hi George.  This is about version 8 but, from what I can tell, not about what 
the very latest patch fixes though with the version number it has it must be 
quite a minor revision.  It would still be interesting though to know which 
bugs it is meant to address.
