Thank you for your message. I may try letting the system run for a day or so, but I am thinking that doing that would use up unnecessary electricity, and the point is also that I tend to defragment my drive quite often, but I don't let it actually finish for the reason I stated above, and it does not seem to get that far in a reasonable length of time, even if I decide to defragment C: while reading e-mails on D:, or I decide to start it defragmenting in the mid afternoon and keep it running for say 3 or 4 hours with the supernova speech turned off but the magnification running so that I can check what the screen is showing.

I suppose I could run a defrag with Supernova completely turned off, but this then poses the problem, how would I know when it had finished without squinting at the screen with my limited sight?
