[bcab] Re: The latest version of Diskkeeper is taking ages to defragment a 16GB hard drive, should it take this long?

Hi Alexander,

Have you noticed a definite problem that makes you think your disc needs defragged. Have you got enough memory in there for instance, or how many things are you generally running. I've got disc defrag on automatic and basically I leave it alone. I did a quick analysis after your E-Mail and there was hardly anything left to defrag. In other words, it seems to be chugging away fine.

Hi Steve,

In view of the information you gave in answer to Phil's message on this thread, would you be able to tell me what you think may cause my C: partition to take two or three hours to defrag 2 or 3 percent of the disk if I have disk keeper set to manual defragmentation and at the time of defragmenting, am only running Supernova and Outlook Express, of which, only Supernova is installed on the C: partition, as I have my e-mails stored on the D: partition.

Thank you in advance for your views on this.
