[bcab] Re: Tesco again

I've heard this mentioned previously. However, I get around two deliveries a
week, pay with a combination of switch and credit cards and have never seen
this. Perhaps Tesco can help identify when and why this occurs?

Subject: [bcab] Tesco again

Hi folks,

A colleague in another arena has tabled the following problem whilst helping
to train VI people to shop on line with Tesco. Can anyone offer advice
please as I am seeing her at a meeting next week.

Chris.

Online shopping. At Berkshire Blind Society we ran a project to teach VI
people how to online shop on Tesco's website. It was excellent until
checkout. After inputting credit card details, the participants were taken
to a new screen and asked for their securecode password. This is a new
security process taken up by some retailers and banks. The screen for input
did not work with Jaws and the shoppers could not pay for their goods. We
have subsequently got around this with the help of a sighted trainer...but I
have been unable to find a contact in the banking arena willing to discuss
the issue.
