You have to have the printed book in your possession for as long as you have 
the scanned copy.  If you want to pass it on, the scan has to go with the 
hard copy and you're not supposed to keep the scan.  Yes, this is virtually 
impossible to police, but it's the law.

Yes but the news paper company has lost out because lower sales.
This I think maybe the issue with TNA in that  if we pass the files on,
we are discouraging others from paying the TNA subscription. why pay £40
if one can  get the files for free from those that are subscribers.

Does RNIB  have a similar rule for  those that  use the talking book
service. Is one allowed to pass talking books  around?

Oh  and is passing on TNA files really  any different from
scanning printed books,  and passing on what one has scanned!
