[bcab] Streaming audio/Video around the house (was RE: Re: Tunecast FM transmitters)

All,

Thanks to Peter and Kulvinder for info on FM Transmitters from Veronica
systems. These look great, but I was looking at FM transmitters as a
cheaper alternative compared with Wi-Fi or homeplug audio streaming. I
guess I maybe looking for that non-existent free lunch, but the
price-tag of the Veronica transmitters makes me wonder if the IP
networking alternative wouldn't after all, be cheaper. Is there a good,
accessibly controllable system around at the moment that I could use for
connecting my PC to a remote Hi-Fi/TV using wireless/homeplug adapters?

Regards and thanks,

Tim
