[bcab] Re: SOFTWARE CAUSING PC TO RESTART

Wendy,

I have this problem if I go into 'G' to use my Braille embosser. I have never got rid of the problem. Sorry this is not much help but there it is.

Norman.

Subject: [bcab] SOFTWARE CAUSING PC TO RESTART

I have just bought a Brother QL-500 label printer, and have installed its
accompanying P-touch software. This is in three parts; P-touch address
book, P-touch editor and the printer driver. Having experienced problems
getting the printer to work, I went to the Brother Solutions site which
recommended downloading the latest versions of the software. I uninstalled
everything and downloaded and installed the latest versions.

I think I have got the printer working, but the main problem is that when I
launch P-touch editor and try to create labels, as soon as I try to alter
settings, print or save, my PC shuts down and restarts.

I have Windows XP Home and JAWS version 6.1. I have contacted Brother about this problem, but I wonder whether any of you have had similar problems with
other software, and if so, what might be the cause.

Wendy
