[bcab] SMS Update

Hi all,

I'm feeling sick with a chesty cauf and runny nose, but elated at the
same time!

I've got a new toy!
Since joining LIT I've been feeling a bit frustrated at not being able
to do a common admin job. I.e. Pushing software out to end users
machines.

This was due to bad UI design on Microsofts part.

The package we use to push software out to end users is called Systems
Management Server 2003, (SMS).

The oridginal procedure was to launch the package, click on collections,
find the software title, go into it's properties, click on membership
rules and click the mem rules wizard button.

I could not access this with any screenreading technology, more to the
point I could not access this using any keyboard alternative to a mouse
click.

I've been all over the place researching this product and accessibility.

I've rang Microsoft, emailed various Visually Impaired computer
listservs, rang the RNIB, rang the retailer and developer for my
primary screenreading package and got nothing of any help.

Then Raymond, (one of our senior systems engineers), had a word with
somebody in development in LIT.

We've now got a WEB UI front end into SMS!

This means using my web browser I can access all the features that the
rest of the team can. It also means it's a quicker process for the
other team members now too!

I'm sick and feel yukky but I'm internally exstatic about this!
