Hi
You could try Real player but I don't know if it works with Jaws.
The problem with windows media player is that on insertion of the disc it
makes a 'play list'. Each track has to be converted separately which takes
some time. Again I can't help with Jaws.
Kind regards
Charles Crisp

Subject: [bcab] Ripping yarns
Hi all,
I have Nero and Windows Media Player on my PC. Please can someone tell me:
1. what are the keystrokes I need with either of these programmes, to rip
tracks from my commercially purchased CD's and convert individual songs to
MP3 formats for sending on to other people. Don't worry, I'm not asking for
help to break the law here. I need to know how to do this as part of my
work on plugging the existing guide Cats CD's and in compiling the next
volume.
2. If neither Nero nor Windows Media Player will enable me to do this, what
additional software will I need, and how do I get it?
Note: I've grasped how to do the process the other way round - take an MP3
file or files and burn onto a CD for standard audio CD players, but the
first time I tried ripping, I ended up with a CD containing a file with
nothing in it, and called D__ - which was no good to man nor beast.
Best,
Clive
