  Hi Francis,

There is a freeware program called RegCleaner (not to be confused with the
old Microsoft RegClean), and although it doesn't immediately look screen-reader
friendly, you can operate it from ordinary menus. It seems to do a good job,
and has been updated to cope with Windows XP.

This link will trigger the download:--

or if you want some more information abou the program go to

  Hope that helps.
  Vince.

    Hello List:

Has anybody used a programme marketed by McAfee also known as Winferno? It
scans the registry and other components in Windows, shows the scan results and
there is an option to clean all the errors that were located.

The programme is not screen reader friendly and to get the best results the
JAWS mouse needs to be used. I can scan the computer and read the results but
I don't know which of the graphics to click to clean-up. I would appreciate
hearing from someone who has used this programme or perhaps if you know of
another registry cleaning software and cost, that would also be helpful.
