[bcab] Problem with send/receive dialogue box

Dear George,

I am still having the same problem with the send/receive dialogue box
that keeps reappearing and interrupting my use of the Outlook email. My
sighted colleague
has confirmed that the 'don't show this' box is indeed checked, and we
have tried checking and unchecking it and restarting Outlook but the
damn thing
keeps on coming back.

The dialogue box appears both when I force a send/receive from the tools
menu and automatically every one minute, this being the time when
Outlook is set
to check for mail.

Jaws tries to read the progress of the progress bar of the dialogue box
by telling me '0%...100%, and this goes on all the time as long as the
computer
is on.

What should I try next please?

John

reports

Hi John,

That's not a BT Internet things, it's simply a progress report dialog
generated by Outlook.

It sounds like you have the "Don't show this....." box checked, so it
really should not be appearing. Can anyone sighted confirm the box is
actually checked,
just in case your screen reader is misreading it?

Try unchecking the box, force a send and receive (From the Tools menu),
then exit Outlook.

Now re-run outlook, force another send and receive, then check the box.

George.

Dear List Members,

My use of outlook is frequently interrupted by a message that says:

Outlook Send/Receive Progress dialogue

0 of 1 tasks have completed successfully

cancel all button

details button

Don't show this dialogue box during Send/Receive checked

Task tab Errors tab

Btinternet.com

Unable to find the email server. Please verify the email server in your
account.

I avoid this by alt/tab but it keeps coming back. Should I contact
Btinternet or is there some simple corrective I should be applying?

John
