Dear Mike:

I have three LaserJet printers and even the one I bought used
works admirably.

One word of advice:

If you find yourself doing a lot of long printouts, strongly
consider buying a DUPLEXING printer!  You save half on paper
consumption but for me the huge advantage is the reduction in
weight and bulk!  And colour lasers aren't all that much more
expensive than black and white ones.

While most of your printing will probably be in black, putting in
a splash of colour here or there to make an important point stand
out really adds snap to your printouts.

Just my personal thoughts on the matter.  Of course a lot depends
upon how much money you have to spend etc.
