Subject: [bcab] Please Sponsor Me!
Hi all,
It's now just over two weeks before the start of this year's CQ WW CW
contest and I'm seeking sponsorship for my entry towards the British
Computer Association of the Blind's (BCAB) EyeT4All initiative which
aims to make everyone aware that blind/vision impaired people need not
be excluded from access to computers and the Information Society.
For more information, please visit www.bcab.org.uk
All the parts of my 2 element quad have arrived and I intend to start
assembling it this afternoon, in the hope that I can get it operational
for the event. This should make a big difference, as I only have a 2 X
20 metre doublet for the higher bands.
Last year, I made just over 2000 contacts, gaining and accredited score
of just over 868000 points. Although propagation remains in the
Doldrums, I hope to break the million point barrier this year.
As ever, I plan to enter the single operator, all band, high power
category, for which I was surprised to be the Scottish winner last year.
So, please give me plenty of incentive to go for this whilst supporting
an excellent cause!
To sponsor me, please visit www.justgiving.com/cqww or contact me
directly at terry@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx to make alternative arrangements.
As an extra bit of fun, we're offering one of our latest CD's "Top Cat
White Tie and Tails" to the person who makes the closest guess of my
claimed score. So, please contact me.
You can either donate a fixed sum, or sponsor me per claimed contact,
after the event. Those wishing to sponsor me per contact should let me
know, so I can tell them after the event.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks,
Cheers,
Terry, GM3WUX
