[bcab] Re: PDF to DAISY

Hello Karina

The answer at the moment is that this is not practicable. You could use
Dolphin's EasyConvertor software to convert to text or Word format, and then
use Dolphin's Publisher product to create a Daisy book using synthetic speech
(or even without speech). Provided the PDF has been correctly formed this will
work, but it will cost you a lot of money and time.

When you create the Daisy book you decide what the navigation points will
be,such as the headings. Publisher will also tag paragraphs automatically if
you want.

  Subject: [bcab] PDF to DAISY

  HI all,

I've got these two PDF files, please can someone advise me as to how I can
convert them to DAISY so that I can read them on my BrailleNote PK? Step by
step instructions would be much appreciated.

  There's also something else that I don't understand - once I have converted a
PDF file to DAISY format, how do I know how to navigate it as I'm aware that
each DAISY book is navigated differently but I don't know how you find out how
to navigate it.

Thank you in advance for your help.

  Karina
