Hi Charles,
Do users need the full version of Acrobat or just the Reader to be able to
use these forms?
How accessible are they, and do you have any examples? It sounds like it
could provide the solution my clients need for their website.
Thanks!

Hi all
Pdf documents can be made so that certain areas such as on an application
form can be filled in.
The maker needs to use Adobe Acrobat version 6 or above.
The fill in boxes are usually automatically located and you cannot type into
any other areas.
The form can then be saved and returned electronically, or printed and
returned by post.
On another point made on this topic. If the pdf consists of words only
perhaps it could be scanned and made subject to an OCR application, altered
and remade.
Kind regards
Charles Crisp

l,
It might be worth looking at Foxit Software...
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php
Their programs include a PDF editor. Of course, this wouldn't be able to =
edit password-protected files, unless there's some fluke in the = software.
MS Word 2007 will save in PDF format if you want to create a PDF =
yourself,=20 but I can't say how well this works.
Presumably employers using PDFs assume that everyone will print the file =
then fill it in on paper. Hmmm, DDA!
