To delete unwanted addresses or other material line by line do
the following:

Move the PC cursor to the beginning of the first unwanted line.

Press and hold the shift key as you cursor down line by line
through the unwanted material.

If you go a line too far, just cursor up one line.

Now release the shift key and press:

The cut key, control plus x or
The delete key.

All the lines you have marked are now gone and the rest of your
message is intact.

Please do everyone on the lists you are on a really big favor by
going into the options of Outlook Express, and on the message
format tab I think it is, select the option to include the
message being replied to or forwarded WITHOUT the ">"
greater-than sign prefix at the beginning of each quoted line.

This makes reading messages so much more enjoyable for us speech
users.

Actually, it is considered good list etiquette to quote
sparingly, ideally only the amount required to maintain
continuity of thought and ideally to summarize the previous
message in just a sentence or two.

It is seldom necessary to quote more than one previous message,
so when you've quoted what you need, please do the following:

Put the PC cursor on the first line of unwanted previous messages
and:

Press control plus shift plus end to mark all text between where
you are at the moment and the end of the message and the end of
it.

Then press the delete key to make all the marked text vanish
instantly.

This little bit of time and effort is very much appreciated by
list owners and especially list members who may receive many
dozens or hundreds of messages a day from the various lists they
are on.

And if you must quote a previous message in full, please trim off
the 18 dozen sets of list trailer lines saying who owns the list,
how to unsubscribe and the AVG lines that say no virus found by
AVG Free!

Again, taking a moment to do this is really appreciated by all
list members, even the ones who do not often post.
