Thanks Derek,
My problem arises that when I have selected a section of the message
either at the beginning or end, and then press delete, rather than only
the selected bit being deleted, the whole message is deleted.

Within the settings for Outlook Express. (Tools, options) it is
possible to decide what to do when replying to a message. One of the
options is not to include the previous message. If you select that you
will not have this problem in future.
I use Outlook and have my default set to include the message but not
to use the rather annoying > signs. If I want to delete the original
message I just press Ctrl-Shift-end to select everything from the
cursor to the end of the message and then press the delete key.
Cheers,
Derek

What I do is:
1 Copy message body to clipboard,
2 Open new message and paste the boddy of the message there,
3 put my email address in the "To" field
4 Put all recipiants in the BCC field
5 Fill in Subject field and send message
6 If you can get all your contacts to do the same thing you should
work
out
that in the future you will only have one address to delete before
forwarding the message, but unfortunately it doesn't always work out
that
way. Sometimes I get so annoyed I return the message to the sender
and
ask
them to clean it up because I can't read it.
Take time to laugh, for it is

Hello all,
I am knew to the list, but have been advised that someone may be able
to
help.
On another email list it has been recommended that when forwarding
messages
all the previous email address that may appear should be deleted.
Most people are able to do this by cursoring to the point in the
message
from unwanted material is to be deleted, then pressing; "shift
control
and
either home or end" and delete.
When I do this the whole message is deleted.
Equally, if I have pressed "control f" before trying the above, all I
have
in the edit box in the new message is the subject line that jaws can
read.
When the massage is forwarded the whole thing is sent.
Any ideas please.
My procedure at present is to cut and paste the whole message to
word,
where
the sectional deleting operates perfectly.
Thanks in advance
Peter Eckersley
