[bcab] Re: Outlook express problem

Ottawa Canada

Dear Peter:

Unless you are running a very strange version of Outlook or
Outlook Express, shift plus cursor up or down should mark the
text you are cursoring up or down over and control x will cut it
to the clipboard and the delete key should only delete the marked
text.

This is done by the way in your reply which should have the
previous message included in it.

Will also work in a forward too.

Pressing control plus shift and end marks all text from the
present pc cursor position to end of document and presumably
control plus shift plus home would mark all text from the present
pc cursor position to beginning of the document.

When there is text highlighted, pressing control x will cut the
marked text, control c will copy the marked text and the delete
key should delete it, never to be seen again.

Try these keystrokes in a reply to this message and if something
happens you don't like, just press escape and reply to the save
the draft of the message with the no button and you're back at
this message and can do control r for reply again and try again.

Sounds like someone has made some very nonstandard changes to
your mail program if it is Outlook or Outlook Express.

Oh and please go into your options menu selection and tell
Outlook Express to not put the greater than signs at the
beginning of each quoted line.

Thank you.

Hello Brian,
I fear that when either selecting with shift and cursoring up or
down, or shift control home or end; Control x does not work, and
pressing the delete button will delete the whole message.

Have had a go at your suggestion of going into the menus to get
rid of all the bits and pieces in messages, so will see if it
works in this reply.
Regards
Peter
