[bcab] Re: Outlook express plain text question

Mine does just the same, I don't exactly remmeber when it started but an update
did cause this behaviour. I don't have a solution other than the one you have
already offered.

Subject: [bcab] Outlook express plain text question

Has anyone else noticed that in outlook express latest version, even if you
have it set to send all
messages in plain text, if you paste some information in rich text into a
message (e g from a
webpage or word document) it doesn't automatically strip the coding like it
used to?

On my system if I paste the text in it remains in rich text HTML format, the
only way I can get it
to change to plain text is to first choose format menu rich text, then format
menu plain text, (Alt
O then R followed by ALT O then X) whereby it does finally strip all the
coding & formatting out.
A bit of a pain to do this every time though!

I've checked the program options carefully. Under tools menu options, send
tab, it is set to send
in plain text only. And under the read tab, it's set to "read all messages
in plain text".

Either I'm mistaken or this email program is going downhill! It used to act
like notepad does,
stripping all code when a block of text is pasted into it. However
apparently this is not the case
  any more...
Anyone know different or got any suggestions?
