[bcab] Open Office, Jaws and the Java Access Bridge

Hi Stuart
Your message caught my eye - are you using Open Office seriously with
Jaws and the Access Bridge? Can you give me any feedback on how you got
on - you make it sound very simple, but previous feedback has suggested
that using software through the Access Bridge can be very problematic.
Are there any parts of the Office software or Jaws that don't work, or
work only with difficulty, or where you have to use Zoomtext? Or is
everything completely hunky dory for a Jaws user?
Thanks
Ruth

Subject: [bcab] Re: PDF Files

Hello Karina

If you want to convert text documents into PDF files you could try 'Open
Office' it has the facility to convert all document created in 'Open
Office' into PDF files. Best of all it is free to use and download from
the internet from www.openoffice.com <http://www.openoffice.com/>

I found that I had to download 'Java Access Bridge' so that my copies of
JAWS ZoomText would talk to me but that is simple to do because the
office program has a link to the Java web site.

I hope this is helpful to you if you need any more info let me know.

Regards

Stuart Barron
