[bcab] Re: Open Office

The Java install I used was accessible so I am wondering which version you
have used and whether you have used the latest one?

Also Make sure that you have run version 2 of the Java Access Bridge.
Version 1 of the Access Bridge will not work with Open Office.

Finally if you look further down the page on the link I sent you there is a
registry patch which you can run which will automatically set the
accessibility options in Open Office. This avoids the problem of having to
navigate to Tools and options in Open Office whilst it is in an inaccessible
state.

I ran this and it seems to work for me so hopefully it will for you also.

As a last comment make sure you reboot after each install to eliminate
gremlins.

Hope this helps.

David,

Thanks for the link and all. However I have finally managed to download java

access bridge(as the sun installer manager isn't accessible), but when I try

to change the accessibility option in open office, it says java access
bridge isn't installed.

I searched for files and folders and saw the java access bridge.DLL file.
Any thoughts on this? Do you know where I might have gone wrong? Thanks in
advance.

Regards,

LU
