[bcab] Re: Off Topic? Inspiring films

Hi Robyn
I am involved in a mentoring project called awake with the Scope
organisation. As part of the training we were played a short 12 minute
video with the roles of disabled and able bodied people reversed. It is
very amusing and hits home about accessibility issues. Below is a copy of a
reply from my development officer with the details including a link to the
film.
cheers

Hi Alan
The video is called Talk and is produced by the Disability Rights
Commission. It is available as a free DVD ordered directly from the DRC or
can be video streamed directly over the internet. Also I have noticed there
is an audio described version.
The link is http://www.drc.gov.uk/citizenship/talkvideo.asp
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Michael

Hi folks
I have not ignored your last post, and will be in touch soon. I am sending
you a copy of an email I received from one of my subscription lists. I
immediately thought about the film we had in the training sessions about
reversing the roles of disabled people. Do you know the title and where
this person can get a copy? The email is below.
cheers
Alan

Hi,

My employers have suddenly discovered diversity and equality, and they want
to raise the awaremess of disability in the company.

Our US colleagues had a pizza and film evening. The film was 'Murder Ball'
- apparently about a wheelchair rugby team.

They would like to do the same here in London, and are looking for an
inspiring,
but entertaining, film to show. The best suggestion so far is 'Ray'.
Anyone
got any ideas?

Thanks,

Robyn
