Leoni and Barry,
Thanks for this. I've often wondered what mouse over meant but had
dismissed it as one of those imponderable effects one seems to have
sometimes on computers!

Barry,
When you hear "onMouseOver", Jaws is letting you know that there
has
been some JavaScript applied to the element. In this case, it sounds as
though the onMouseOver has been applied to a paragraph of text.
An onMouseOver signifies that something will happen when the
mouse
is placed over the element. This could be a visual change, such as the
text
changing colour, or it could be something more dramatic than that, with
content being updated elsewhere on the page.
You can press Insert + Control + Enter to simmulate the effect
of
placing a mouse over the element in question. If some content changed on
another part of the page, Jaws will tell you. You can use the j key to
open
the Jump To Line feature and move directly to the line where the content
changed. Using Shift j will take you back to your original spot on the
page
when you're done.
Alternatively, you can turn this feature off within the
Configuration Manager.
1. Press INSERT+F2, select "Configuration Manager," and press ENTER.
2. From the Set Options menu, choose Speech and Sounds Manager.
3. In the Select Scheme list, choose "Classic."
4. Press ALT+E to edit this scheme.
5. Press CTRL+TAB until you move to the HTML tab, and then use the arrow
keys to select "onmouseover."
Press ALT+I to select the Ignore radio button.
Regards,
Léonie.

Subject: [bcab] Mouse over
Hi guys
I'm sorry if this has been covered several times. What is the problem
when
Jaws 8 is saying 'Mouse over' on every line with text of a web page in
IE?
Thanks
Barry
