Further to Steve's post, Karina. In my experience, even Office doesn't read
the format of the Works files - although this may have changed in the most
recent versions of Office. I have always considered Works to be worse than
useless, and have always uninstalled it on machines that come with it on.

Subject: [bcab] Microsoft Office and Works
Hi all,
Please can someone tell me the difference between Microsoft Office and
Microsoft Works? I've recently had a new computer that has got Microsoft
Works installed on it and I can find an application that is similar to
PowerPoint but nothing else to do with Office. I've been snt a disk with
the computer that is labelled Microsoft Works but I'm not sure if I need to
install it or if I need to install Microsoft Office as well as Microsoft
Works. Please can someone advise me?
Thanks.
Karina
