So what microphone would you recommend then as I had that and in my case it
was working fine since I only used it for Skype. Chat soon.

But beware the Logitech AK5370 . This is the USB microphone I
bought. This was fine for skype but useless for many other things. In
particular this is a microphone in which it appears impossible to monitor
your sound through your soundcard. So if you want to make an audio tutorial
for example and have Jaws recorded at the same time this is impossible.
I emailed Logitech support repeatedly about this problem but they completely
ignored my emails so their tech support is pretty useless also .
It seems that people are sstill posting on their forums about this problem
but not getting a response..
See

If anybody can actually spot an answer on this page it would be great.
I found on google loads of people complaining about this problem. I did
after an extensive search on forums find a suggested solution involving
going to the sound applet in Windows but this did not work. On another tech
support forum someone told me that you could only get this functionality by
purchasing a specialist third party audio editing program which I forget the
mane of. Unlike programs like audacity or Goldwave you could edit the
driver settings apparently. I downloaded the demo but it was inaccessible.
So if all you want to do is use skype or record without monitor sound then
fine, but otherwise avoid this microphone.

I used to have a Logitech USB microphone and it worked very well with Skype.
As I have a good quality onboard microphone on this Acer Aspire 5735 laptop
I no longer needed the USB one and thus gave it away to a good friend. Hope
this helps. Chat soon.

Just want one, mainly for skype.
What should I ask for. How do you know if USB mics would work?
Have X P with H D audio onboard. Nuuissance.
