[bcab] Re: Jaws with Sage

George,

I've asked my contact at the college and they haven't a clue! Could be a
long drawn out process.

Hi Jim,

Are we talking about Sage Instant Accounts, Sage Line 50, or Sage Line
100?

George.

Terry and List,

I attend City of Bristol College and am keen to do a computer
bookkeeping
course as I used to do manual accounts back in the 80's when I had
some
sight.

After much pestering and what seems an age RNIB have finally persuaded
the
College to fund the writing of scripts for Sage. This was supposed to
start
during the current term but I've not been contacted as yet but I'll
keep the
list posted as things develop.

It would be interesting to sind out, via the list hopefully, how many
others
would take up such a course in bookkeeping if Sage was accessible.

Certainly if people are interested I'm very happy to let the list know
when Brian gets to scripting the app and provide some ideas about the
functionality we have achieved.
Cheers!

Maybe it's a marketing opportunity for your company Terry? There are
plenty of big organisations who use Sage, including RNIB. Perhaps
companies would be prepared to buy the scripts.

Hi.

Sadly not.

This is the accountancy package we use at work and I'm trying to get
my
JAWS script writer to produce some scripts so I can access it however
I
have to keep going to the back of the cue as customer needs come
before
mine.

Seriously it certainly is scriptable but is also vast and probably you
would want to try to narrow down what components of the application
you
wanted to work with at least initially.

Hi all

Does Jaws work with the accountancy package called Sage? If so, how
accessible is it, please?

Cheers
