I've had to reset the authorisation on JAWS a number of times; Some
more obviously connected to things that had changed in the hardware
configgeration of the PC, but other times seemingly randomly so; I've
found Sight and Sound (who I purchased JAWS through) very good and
quick in each case a quick phone call to them and it was useually
reset and re-authorised in the same day.
As to running disk defragmenter with JAWS running, this hasn't ever
seemed to cause a problem in XP Pro, though I do vaguely remember it
being more problamatic under Windows 98, but most things seemd a bit
more problamatic under Win 98. I think Scandisk can be a bit reluctant
to run all the way through with JAWS loaded up though.
Cheers.
