[bcab] Re: JAVA ACCESS BRIDGE

Many thanks, Phil, and everyone else who responded. I do have the Access
Bridge installed, but from a previous posting about Java I understood that
every time you got an update you had to reinstall the Access Bridge.
However, it sounds from what some of you are saying that I don't really need
it. I think I will leave things as they are now and see what happens,
unless any of you experts think I should do something else.

I have read the JAWS help on this topic, plus a lot more about the internet,
and I must say there is a lot of handy information in there.

Many thanks again.

Wendy

        Hi Wendy,

The Java access bridge download page is at:
http://java.sun.com/products/accessbridge

It is only necessary for pure Java programs written using classes which
don't invoke Windows native mode operations, hence it provides a bridge
between Java and Windows.

I have just been prompted to install a Java update, which I have done. I
recall that you also have to install Java Access Bridge, but can't remember
where to find this or how to do it. Could some kind person give me the
details, please?
