Hi all,
I would like to thank George for the advice he has given me
regarding my Cannon BJC85 printer, as well as extending my
thanks to Phil Medway who was also very helpful.
AS it seems that cleaning the BJC85 will be a very long
process, I have decided to get rid of it, and also get rid
of my Cano scan 250 U2 scanner at the same time, and replace
them both with an Epson stylus SX100 all-in-one scanner
printer or a similar all-in-one machine, depending on
whether the SX100 is small enough to fit on my desk.
Please note, that my decision to replace both the scanner
and the printer has been partly made on the grounds that
both pieces of equipment are reasonably old, I've had the
scanner for about 12 years, and the printer for about 9
years, and I feel that I would get better use out of a more
modern product, as well as saving space in terms of space on
my desk and the fact that less plug sockets are likely to be
needed with an all-in-one machine.
