Hi Alex from what I was able to find out using google, this is worse than
spyware, it is a trojan
virus.
According to the information in one discussion forum, quote
"Description
Win32.AutoRun.aiv copies an executable file into the system directory, starts
itself as a service
"DE5BD8A7 ", "SYS1", "SYS", "SYS3" and restarts Windows without giving the user
a possibility to
cancel that process. It also connects to its malicious website and downloads
additional
executables."
This sounds like potentially very serious threat. Therefore I would definitely
tell Spybot to fix
it if I were you, and also give your computer a full up to date virus scan, and
check your firewall
status carefully.

Subject: [bcab] Is Win32.autorun.aiv spyware, as spybot picked it up when I
checked?
Hi all,
I asked a similar question some time ago, but got the name of the problem
program wrong. I thought it ended in .av but in fact it actually ends
.aiv. My question is, is this spyware or not, as I don't want to delete it
if I need it.
Thank you all in advance for any advice you can give.
Alexander Shannon
