[bcab] Re: ITV Catch-up

dear Steve
Just to let you know i can't get on to the page about the trainee job scheme i tried for ages using Hal v9 and it just hung there and didn't do what I wanted it to i found the site very difficult to navigate for a novice on the internet i won't be trying that one again until I gain confidence in using the internet. So my dream of being in journalism is not going to happen.

Jill is in post until next week. I've talked to the manager of the Media
and Culture unit and she has asked any updates for this and any related
topic go to audiodescription@xxxxxxxxxxxx This is a general mailbox from
where information can be forwarded to the relevant person within the
team. A new information officer is due to be recruited, but I'm not
aware of a timescale for the appointment.

Dear Clive
Jill has left so not sure if anyone else is going to deal with
broadcasting.

Hi David,

Why are you going to the a to z list? Why not go to the
programme you want, if you know it? Such as http://www.itv.com/corrie?
Does that route not work?

All the best

Steve

Hi all,

I take it all back. Having spent a large part of the evening
with Douglas squirrel (a web developer who is interested in sorting this
kind of thing out), we finally got it working.

It has to be said that the itv site is very convoluted, and
navigation wize, not the most friendly site.

Try the folllowing link:

http://www.itv.com/ITVPlayer/AtoZ/default.html

When you get there, you are given more links to letter groups,
a-c d-f, etc, so find the letter link which applies to the program you
want to watch. Once done, you can select the program from the list of
relevant links. You'll then be given a listing of available episodes.
You simply select the one you want, and it plays. I am working on
rewinding etc, but for the moment, that is as far as we've got.

If you get stuck, or it doesn't work, let me know.

David.
