Hi Alan,
Yes, Freedombox and System Access support IE7 very well, so FS are getting
left behind with IE7 if they don't get a move on.
All the best

Dear FreedomBox Community Member:
We have just released an update containing an upgrade to our Remote Training
and Support feature. This change will also change the way FreedomBox and
System Access both work when using the Remote Control My Home Computer
feature.
We now provide complete access to Jaws For Windows and WindowEyes on all
remote computers. So if you are running JFW or WE on your computer at home
or at the office, or even if your friend that you are trying to help is
using one of these programs, then our software Will advise you that JFW or
WindowEyes is running on the remote computer. YOu will be told the version
number of the program running so trainers and support staff will have a
better idea of what is on the remote machine. When connected to the remote
machine, System Access will step aside and allow the complete use of these
other adaptive technologies. Because our Remote Training and Support
features are fully encrypted with secure SSL technology and HIPA compliant
you can even connect to workplace computers to help adjust script or set
files without ever leaving your home. This process doesn't require Windows
Remote Desktop. If you are on the go don't worry you can use your U3 enabled
Key To Freedom or PassKey to connect to a remote machine as well. Just find
any computer plug in your Key and do your thing.
To use this feature simply choose Remote Control Another Computer from the
FreedomBox Desktop or from the System Access menu. Then just follow the
prompts. This enhancement will truly give you accessibility anywhere not
only to the excellent line of Serotek products but also access to other
leading adaptive technologies.
We have also recently upgraded support for the Internet by providing full
support to Internet Explorer 7 and the new Windows Defender. Don't be left
behind by using technology that won't give you fol access when a program is
released. Unlike other technologies we have had support in System Access
throughout the IE7 and Windows Defender beta programs. We look forward to
your feedback on the FreedomBox user's Forum.
Stay tuned for more exciting things to come in the next several weeks and
months. Remember the holidays are right around the corner and why not give
the gift of accessibility anywhere to someone you care about this year.
Take care all and see you on the network.
Mike Calvo and the FreedomBox Team.
