Me too, but it obviously does give people some brilliant ideas for the wish
list.
I replied to you off list, but as we are all sharing our ideas, my big wish
is for a robot in the shape of a human which would take me anywhere, see
what I want to see and tell me what it is. It would save all the hassle of
fighting your way through crowds using a long cane, not being able to browse
round shops, failing to catch trains because you don't know where and when
they are going from, etc, etc. Maybe it could also read my screen when the
computer crashes or I can't find what I want on a site. I am not advocating
total idleness here, in fact it would probably make me a lot more active
than I am now, as the robot and I could go on walks every day without the
fear of getting lost or run over - I live in quite a busy town.
This is all great fun.
Wendy

Steve, your obviously not a star trek fan.
The idea of a holadec is basically it's a big room which the characters
can program to be anything. A complete multi sensory environment with so
much artificial intelligence you can't tell who's real and who's not.
Sorry to say I think we're probably just a few decades away from having
anything remotely like this although virtual reality specks are sort of
there with the hole vision thing so I here but they can't do touch or
smell or full emersion.
Cheers.
Nick.

Can you tell us what you mean by a holodeck, I've never heard of this,
don't know about anyone else!
