Star Trek is not rubbish. Many of their ideas have actually pushed forward
people's expectations and vision, and the science behind it is usually
pretty good, most of the time. I though my other idea was fairly way off in
the future too so that's why I added a holadeck as as unlikely an
alternative. Just imagine being able to experience and interact with any
environment or person from history though! Actually, I should have added
transporters. That would take away the need for canes, mobility, GPS
systems, etc.
