[bcab] Re: Guide, a screen reader

Hi Michael,

You are incorrect in this assumption. Nothing is installed to your
compujter, it is all run from the host key. I have run registry checks to
prove this.

All the best

Steve

The one fact you won't find there is that U3 installs software on your
computer without asking to make it work. I don't know about you, but I
wouldn't go near that (again unfortunately in my case). It also makes the U3
drive appear as two, drives, the one which is your USB storage device
itself, and a drive where the U3 loader stuff is which starts your software
automatically. I had one got for me as a present, but when I found all this
out through experience, I got so annoyed with it I removed the U3 stuff from
the drive (which by the way cannot be reinstalled, like you would actually
want that ability anyway).

I don't know what's wrong with the autorun.inf file way of auto-loading
software. It can work on USB storage devices. Also autorun.inf also is
easily disabled for a one off insertion, simply hold down shift as you
insert the CD or other removable storage (I think I have got the right key
press).
