[bcab] Re: GPS

I am guessing that you use a Series 60 smartphone, so how about Nokia Maps combined with a bluetooth GPS receiver? I have only used the free features of the application (mainly the route planner), but have been quite impressed. The upgrade license for the navigation service costs €69.99 (Euros) for three years, so seems quite reasonable.

Has anybody used the navigation service of Nokia Maps?

Full information on Nokia Maps is available from www.smart2go.com.

Hi Christine,

How about Wayfinder Access? You can put it on your phone, use a Bluetooth GPS receiver, and it is quite an inexpensive option. We do the software for 260 pounds, and the receiver for 50 pounds. And that includes your Talks upgrade.

Hope this helps.

All the best

Steve

I am considering buying GPS; can I have some suggestions? I cover a wide area, use trains and buses, I travel into Liverpool and beyond from Southport . I am a student social worker and need something reliable but not complicated to use or obtrusive to wear. I have talks but feel I may need to upgrade, any thoughts please?

Christine Moore.
