JSay which combines JAWS and Dragon Naturally Speaking is probably the best solution I can think of though it is quite expensive and it is important to have a good understanding of how both JAWS and Dragon Naturally Speaking operate from a user perspective. Each user would also need training to use the system. A pentium 4 processor or eqrivalent is required. Centrino laptops can be used. I believe that 2 GB of RAM is also recommended. Your mailing list is a lifeline with the outside world on all VI matters. THANK YOU. My request is for advice on assistive technology available to a blind person who has no arms. Can they still use the keyboard in any way - or is there any voice recognition software that would be appropriate? Regards, Lucy Mardel British Council English Teacher / Coordinator Tamkeen.
