Well, I dredged up a copy of JFW 6 which I didn't realise I had any longer and 
discovered the following!

When you open up the Control Centre and get to the System Setup, if you 
ctrl+tab to the settings tab, as you say, you seem to have limited 
functionality.  However, at this point, if you route the JAWS to PC cursor and 
then go to the bottom of the screen with page down, if you arrow up a couple of 
lines, you'll see a setup button.  Click on this and you'll get into the 
general tab where you can then start to tab around the various setup buttons, 
including turning the GUI off.

Don't think I can help any further since I am using Window-Eyes and don't have 
these problems!  With Window-Eyes I can tab to and from that setup button 
without any issue and activate it and all the buttons within it!

One possible option is to re-install the software since, from vague memory, 
you're given the option at install time of disabling graphics.  Then again, my 
memory's hellish these days!

me into a settings dialogue and a list of 8 options, the first of which is use 
graphics on.  But I have no control here.  I can control arrow up and down the 
list but how would I actually turn use of graphics off?  I can't tab anywhere. 
Sometimes I can find a settings button with the jaws cursor but routing pc to 
it simply closes nod and returns me to the desktop.  In short, it certainly 
isn't working like a normal set of dialogue boxes or controls.
  I am using a laptop.

    In the Control Centre, arrow down to and open the System Tools and then 
arrow down to System Setup.  Once on this, ctrl+tab to the Settings tab and you 
will find a Settings button.  In here, you will be able to disable the GUI and 
splash screen.

      Hi Listers.  I'm trying out Nod32 but am really not finding its control 
centre screens very accessible with Jaws 7.  Is this me or is it not very VI 
friendly.  I just want to check basic things like what version I've installed 
and what components are enabled and running etc.  Any help welcome.
