Hi Andrew,
You are correct All the contact lists are inside a graphic. Looks like
the tried to cut some corners on this site. Might be worth contacting
them as they are part of the British Computer Society they should be
able fix it quite quickly.

Hi,
Am I being thick or is the contact list for the site
http://www.itcanhelp.org.uk/ in a graphic? I have gone to the find a
volunteer link, and chosen a location on the map, and I get a graphic on
the left which I can see a bit, but the screen reader announces it as a
graphic!!
What appears worse is that the graphic has email links in blue, but you
can't click on them because you are on a graphic!
Anyone else seeing this?
Thanks,
Andrew.

Hi,
Cannot speak about the course, however, cookies don't cause any problem
for a screen reader, indeed, by default they are enabled. Javascript
depending on what it does should be ok, it usually when they say you need
the Runtime environment you need to worry a bit.
Thanks.
Andrew.

Hi All,
I've seen an online course that I'm interested in taking through
vision2learn, and am wondering if anyone on the list has had any
experience of these courses, and if so can give me some feedback please
e.g. how useful you found the course, how accessible the documentation
is, etc? Secondly, one of the technical requirements for this course is:
"An Internet enabled PC running MS Windows and Internet Explorer 5 (or
later), or Netscape 6 (or later), with JavaScript and cookies enabled".
I'm sure that I heard somewhere that cookies should be turned off for use
with screen readers, please can someone confirm if this is the case, and
inform me where I check to ensure that the appropriate functionality is
enabled? Is it OK to have javascript and cookies enabled, or does this
pose a higher risk to the security of a computer?
Thanks in anticipation for any assistance, and I look forward to
hearing from you asap.
Karina
