I grabbed the latest version of Firefox, which is 3.5, and gave it ago.
The links seem to work ok here. I tried it with Jaws 10, but don't have any
older versions to hand to try with I'm afraid. It could be worth getting the
latest version of Firefox, if you haven't already, in case that's the
problem. Perhaps others on list could try also, to get a wider test range of
computers, screen readers etc.
Léonie.

Hi Tink,
It was the BBC Listen Again link for the Saturday play Dr Jekyll and Mr
Hyde, on:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/programmes/schedules/fm/2009/07/25
after the title of the play, where the alt. tag says "Four days left to
listen.
I tried the same thing on yesterday afternoon's play, "Antimacassars and
Eelang eelang" whatever", with the same result. Rightly or wrongly, I
concluded that Firefox didn't want anything to do with BBC IPlayer.
Basically, I'd click on the "4 days left to listen" link, and the Firefox
window would disappear, usually landing me back in the Jaws window.
Best,
Clive

The error message about the session is a standard Firefox feature now.
If something closes Firefox unexpectedly, the next time it opens it asks you
whether you'd like to return to the page you were on when it crashed. In
other words, do you want to pick up on your browsing session where you left
off.
Not sure why the links don't work. If you were on a particular page,
could you post the address?
Léonie.

Hi Angela,
I've got Firefox, and tried it last night. It was great, except that when I
clicked on any link to listen to a programme on BBC IPlayer, Firefox ducked
out. When I went back into the programme, I found a message saying there'd
been a problem. "Well, this is embarrassing", it said, and asked if I
wanted to start a new session or restore the old one. Restoring the old
one took me to the page from which I'd gone to get into IPlayer, that is, I
went full circle. Does anyone know how I should be able to make the link
work?
Thanks,
Clive

Hi all,
possibly stupidly, I've just installed IE8. Will this work with Jaws 7?
All I seem to be able to get out of the internet is the title of the page
and "open parent document button", with no webpage content.
If I shouldn't have installed this, how do I roll back? If I could use IE8,
how do I get anything sensible out of the Internet?
Thanks,
Clive
