[bcab] Re: Flash movies and snakes and ladders

Right, I'll try again without going into msn mode (control enter for new line).

You can change it temporarily too.

with Jaws 8 and earlier:

go to verbosity (insert V)
press "R" to refresh movies - and hit the spacebar to tick it off.
Tab to close and hit enter/spacebar.

also, you can stop the page refreshing by ticking refresh page to off.

those settings will remain until you close internet explorer.

Hope that helps.

  Hi again Clive,

I think that Mark is right.

You could try changing the recognise flash and page refresh items either in
the temporary settings invoked by JawsKey+v or permanently in IE invoked by
JawsKey+6 on the top row then alt+s for the settings, enter on html settings,
control+tab to the misc tab where you should find the same settings near the
end of the tab sequence.

    Hi all,

sometimes, when I am looking at a webpage and tabing through the links, I
hit a flash movie. When I get to Flash Movie end and tab again, the links that
are spoken often back track, so that I tab forward and get to the flash movie
start. Next time it may not happen, or I coul backtrack to a different point
in the list.

    1. Why does this happen?
    2. How can I stop it happening?

    Thanks,
    Clive
