It looks much better than the old version!
Cheers

Subject: [bcab] FW: [uk-radio-listeners] New BBC webpage
Hi all,
I thought I would forward this to the list, in case anyone felt they
needed to check out and get used to the new look BBC webpages before it
goes live. I don't know whether this will prove to be accessible or
usable to us, but I would hope so, and I'm sure that feedback to the BBC
would be appreciated and taken seriously.
The person who posted this is a sighted user with only incidental
knowledge of accessibility gained from the uk-radio-listeners list and
aspects that have cropped up in conversations, so when he says "for
sighted users", this may not necessarily imply a problem for the rest of
us. Perhaps it is for us to suss that one out.
Best,
Clive

The BBC has redesigned its home page. Currently running in beta format.
It has a very prominent, for a sighted user, radio section. I have my
location set so when I went to it showed me the BBC Three Counties
schedule, the current programme with a Listen Live link, and information
as to the next programme and a link to the full schedule.
You can click on any one of the other BBC networks and get the same
information, also gave me the option of BBC Radio London.
Having clicked on Radio 2 the next time I returned to the page instead
of the BBC Three Counties schedule showing by default Radio 2's did.
The idea is that, like other sites, you can customise each section of
the home page to your own particular interests.
Other sections that came up by default were News, Sport, Weather, TV and
Blogs, don't know whether this was because it had used information on my
usage of the previous homepage.
The beta page is at:
