I think this mainly aimed at the sports and activity markets, the speech 
provided is usually somewhat short of full screen reading, confining itself to 
reading out phone numbers of incoming calls and reading SMS as they come in.  
There is a Nokia model that also does something similar available now.

One further area where TTS may help is those phones that have become music 
players.
