[bcab] Re: FW: AVG Technical Support

The nag screens are there for the sighted users. Although many blind people seem to use AVG, I'm sure we are still are relatively small proportion of users compared to everyone else. I wonder how the new AVG now works with Jaws V7?

Jim, what was the issue that they claim to have fixed?

By the way, my v7.5 is still updating OK, give or take the odd nag screen, despite AVG's warnings to the contrary.

Dear Sir/Madam,

We would like to inform you, that mentioned AVG issue you have
reported is now fixed.

Please update your AVG to newest version this way:
- open AVG User Interface
- click the 'Update now' button
- select 'Recommended update'
- after the update, please restart your computer

Or perform repair installation this way:

1. Download the latest installation file from this webpage:

http://www.avg.com/download?prd=ais
(AVG Internet Security 8.0)

- When you are prompted, please do not open this file directly from
the internet, but click the "Save" button and choose a location, where
the installation file should be stored. We recommend saving the file
to the Desktop.

2. Please check whether you are logged under some account with
administrative rights. For more details, please visit this FAQ:
http://www.avg.com/faq?num=1196

3. Locate the downloaded AVG installation file (it has a four color
square icon and its name starts with AVG_...) and launch it.
- Choose the "Repair installation" option and follow the wizard.
- When finished, please restart the computer.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
