[bcab] Extracting compressed files

Hi all!
Could someone tell me how I extract files from a compressed folder please? Do I
just have to open each file and resave it. I've downloaded some JAWS scripts
and they're in a zipped folder, but I can't copy them in to JAWS until they're
extracted.
Any help gratefully received.
