[bcab] Re: Excel Formula query

Hi Roger,

Might you try the tramspose option, found in the paste special dialogue?

I think that will convert rows to columns and columns to rows.
As you may have noticed from a previous post, i'm no expert.

Hello all,

I am attempting to transfer information in an excel worksheet to another sheet from a vertical list to a horizontal list on another sheet. If I were trying to copy the list as it is, I would type the formula:

=sheet3!i103

Then I would copy this cell and paste in descending cells thus giving me the list until the formula read:

=sheet3!i202

However, I am trying to place this list in horizantal form accross from a1 onwards on sheet 4!.

The problem is that I wondered if I had to hand write each cell individually or was there a quicker way. I had imagined something like typing in cell b1:

=a$1+1

However this format is not valid and does not work.

Has anyone got any idea if this can be achieved by a simple formula that will allow me to copy and paste to save hours. There are several lists that I need to alter and would rather not rewrite everything at this stage.

Many thanks

Roger
