Hi George,
Thank you for your message, I would have thought exactly
what you've said, but we ran the existing utilities when my
father was here yesterday, and to be honest, it took ages
because we had to run the cleaning utilities again and again
and it seemed to take ten minutes or more to run each time.
The thing is, the printer has not been used regularly since
the end of 2001, and it's been in storage for various
reasons from the end of 2001 up until October 2005, and
between October 2005 and now I haven't used it for various
reasons, so it really does need a good clean, maybe such a
good clean that the internal utilities wouldn't manage it,
hence my need for an instruction Manual.
Following what you've said, I'll have to see if I can
purchase one on the net, possibly from Canon's website, or
would it be worth looking for a specialist printer cleaning
company in the Birmingham area?
Thank you in advance for any further suggestions.
Alexander Shannon
