Looking at the Canon site, it would appear that the manual for this
printer has to be purchased.
I'd suggest you use Canon's existing utilities to clean it, even
though they may take a little while. It's not something you have to
do very often, so once it's done, you can probably forget about it if
the printer is used reasonably regularly.
George.

Subject: [bcab] Download link required for a user guide for a Canon
BJC85 printer.
Hi all,
Following the other thread I started regarding printer
cartridges, for my Canon BJC85 printer, I have now received
the cartridges, (I purchased 6 colour and 6 black and got 3
of each extra for free.
I now have another problem however. When my parents came up
from London yesterday, my father helped me install two of
the new cartridges, (one black and one colour), but we've
found that the printer needs a good clean, I've tried
running the printer's self cleaning mechanism, but cleaning
the print head that way will take ages, and I really don't
know what to do next.
Another problem is, that although the same church friend who
assisted me in removing the cartridges last week has said he
is willing to help me sort the printer out, he doesn't have
any previous experience with Cannon printers, and I don't
seem to have a print manual for the printer, therefore I am
looking to see if anyone can point me in the direction of a
downloadable manual. Please note that I have already tried
googling BJC85 manual and also BJC 85 instruction manual,
but not found a link to a downloadable version.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Alexander Shannon
